Senior Linux Administrator

Desired Qualifications:  
  • Contractor will be supporting an enterprise wide mission environment.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience as a Linux System Admin / Eng.
  • Required: Linux - (CentOS/RHEL) Linux admin certification desired.
  • Required:  Extensive experience installing, configuring, maintaining JBoss / Wildfly.
  • Required: VMWare VM creation, configuration, and operation experience.
  • Required:  Security + 2 / IAT 2 certification.
  • Highly Desire:  Experience with RH Ansible.

  • Storage
    • Management (ex LG, PV, LVM
    • Protocols (ex NFS, SAMBA, ISCSI)
    • SAN Storage configuration
    • Understanding of network storage (ex. NAS and SAN)
  • Networking
    • Understanding of networking concepts and principles
    • Routing, IPSec
  • Security Compliance
    • YUM Patching
    • IAVA Remediation
    • Server certificate management
    • Automation (ex. Ansible, Puppet, SALT)
    • SELinux
  • Authentication
    • Users and Group Management
    • Understanding of Active Directory and DNS
    • User certificate management
  • Scripting: Shell, Python preferred
  • Physical Server Administration
  • Centrify
Qualifications: 
  • Minimum General Experience: At least ten (10) years developing and delivering IT business services, or served in that capacity with an organization. May include knowledge of or specialization with any of the following: Solaris/Trusted Solaris/Linux/ or other Unix or Windows operating system; Storage technology including Disc/Tape/SAN/NAS/DAS; Network technology including but not limited to LAN/WAN; Database technology (Oracle, Sybase, SAP, DB2, etc.).
  • Functional Responsibility: Provides IT and MIS process and procedure consulting or systems engineering services. Functions as a lead consultant in the areas of developing new or re-engineering processes to ensure quality and efficiency within an organization's IT infrastructure.
  • Minimum Education: A BS in Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent years of experience.
