Software Engineer
Annapolis Junction, MDOPS Consulting is seeking qualified candidates that are looking for a challenge and interested in working in a team environment. Codes and tests software based upon software specifications and designs. Analyzes and studies complex system requirements. Designs software tools and subsystems to support software reuse and software development. Provides support using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, and Computer-Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools. Uses sound software engineering principles to ensure that developed code is modifiable, efficient, reliable, understandable, and fault tolerant. Provides software process management and control throughout the coding portion of the software development process.
Education Requirement:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics or similar degree OR equivalent combination of training and experience AND an additional 2 years related experience.
Required Experience:
• 6+ years in a technical role, working on software intensive projects and programs for Government or Industry customers with:
• 4 years experience as a Software Engineer software architecture development, requirements analysis, process execution and evaluation, selection and evaluation of COTS/GOTS tools, and system integration activities (with both new and legacy systems).
• 3 years experience in applicable programming languages such as the following:
◦ C++ or C
◦ JAVA
◦ CORBA
◦ J2EE
◦ Perl
◦ JavaScript
